The much anticipated Homecoming week begins on Monday, October 14, with SCA’s annual Bonfire event that will kick off with a mini pep-rally t0 encourage students to participate in Homecoming activities throughout the week that lead to the dance on Saturday night.
“I believe the Bonfire is a great experience for each student around CHS to enjoy time together and really get hype for the homecoming week, you know like especially all the different grade levels together at one time,” senior Cole Ludford said. “It’s cool to just hangout with friends, meet new people, and get to see the football team, cheer squad, and the coquettes and it’s all just kind of tuff.”
The Bonfire will include upbeat music, new and improved activities for Battle of the Classes, and the announcement of the 2024 Homecoming court. Additionally, the Coquettes dance team will perform during the evening. The football and cheer teams are excited to see everyone there and to see a full nest on Homecoming night.
“Personally, I’m most excited to see students and teachers outside of the typical school element and compete in games with friends,” senior Braden Lyons said.
