“My name is Sophia Shupert, and I’m a senior! I’m extremely involved here at Cox as I am the SCA and National Honors Society president. The last couple years, I have been on the executive boards for both. I am one of the many editors for the yearbook and devote lots of time in assisting the layout to prepare it for staff and students. I have gone to states for three seasons in a row for both indoor and outdoor track & field, specifically hurdles and pole vault.
I enjoy being involved in the school community because I’ve gotten to know people and I’m able to support other students. I’ve been able to volunteer lots of hours and meet so many different people in our VB community through NHS. Throughout my time in SCA, I’ve met some of my best friends while coordinating many of the events at Cox. At the end of my time in high school, I hope to have left a positive impact on the school. I know the many relationships I have made will stick with me for the rest of my life. I 100 percent advocate for student involvement because my amazing experience in high school would not have been possible without it.
In the future, I hope to go to a college that I love and study biology and psychology on a pre-med track. Later, I hope to go to med-school and work towards becoming a surgeon. I truly want to pursue my passion in the medical field to help my community.”
