The feeling of driving through the streets on a warm night as the wind whips through one’s hair; it spreads good vibes.

Well… this vibe is totally possible courtesy of the Falcon Varsity Field Hockey team.  As a fundraiser for the field hockey program, a completely updated, refurbished, six seater golf cart is being raffled off as the winning prize. Patrons at home football games can get a glimpse of the vehicle, which is ready to go and fully drivable. Those interested can purchase one raffle ticket for $100 or four tickets for $300 using the QR code on the flyer.

The purpose of the fundraiser is for the team to purchase additional, necessary gear, attend, participate in various tournaments, and to keep the players healthy and hydrated during the three-four month span of the season. 

Seniors Erma Bailey, Mackenzie Derr, Isabel Pardo, Leena Harkin, and Callie Workman took the lead on the team’s fundraiser this year in hopes that this “different” type of fundraiser will enable future teams to enjoy the same perks that former players were offered during their time with the program. 

“The team and I enjoyed organizing this event for the program and we can’t wait to see the results of the raffle,” Derr said.

The raffle will continue until Friday, October 25.
