The CHS Student Council Association (SCA) held its first Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) Citywide Meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 18, in the school’s auditorium.
The event focused on leadership development by bringing ideas together in an effort to positively improve each high school in the city of Virginia Beach.
The theme of the night was “The Olympics”, in which students connected through competitive games and collaborative discussion groups. Students also attended leadership-themed breakout rooms which allowed each high school to share their ideas on SCA projects. The themes included: teamwork, fundraising, school spirit, homecoming, and “Just Dance”.
In addition to the breakout rooms, math teacher Sean Duffy and the Citywide SCA council spoke to the high school students in the audience.
