Winter pep rally brings holiday, school spirit to student body
In celebration of winter break, the Student Cooperative Association (SCA) helped to get students excited for the Holidays and recognize the winter sports teams and clubs. Emceed by senior SCA members Tyler Haley and Lelani Neville, the pep rally was held in the gym on Thursday, December 22nd on the half day before break.
The Cheer squad, Coquettes, and Step Team helped to hype up the crowd and bring the holiday spirit to CHS. Students were randomly selected from the crowd to represent their grade levels in holiday-themed games and challenges.
“I loved the Santa vs. Grinch wrestle-off. It had the entire gym full of excitement and was definitely the most entertaining. The winter pep rally is always fun when the holidays are incorporated in fun games,” senior SCA President Rose Bannon said.
The winter pep rally has taken weeks of preparation for the SCA. The final product was a school-wide performance that everyone was able to enjoy.
According to SCA Sponsor Mrs. Shumate, she loves seeing how kids get excited for the holiday seasonĀ after working hard in school for the past month.
