Humans Of Cox: November 2022 Edition

“My Name is Ramey Bower and I am a senior here at Cox. I have three younger brothers including Gage, who also attends the school. Whether in school sports or community service, being super active in and outside the school is when I am happiest. I am blessed to be a part of many things such as captain of Cox Varsity softball and basketball teams and director for the morning announcements.  I am also actively involved in the SCA, the Beach Buddies organization, National Honor Society, and more. This year, I have been able to be a part of an amazing citywide event that I encourage all underclassmen to apply for and that is to become one of the Neptune Festival Princesses for the annual festival. I had to apply for the title and do a lot of extra work to earn the as it is a very distinct honor; basically representing the youth of Virginia Beach.  If I had to encourage younger students to get involved in school, I would tell them to get involved in AVID. This program has pushed me and many others to be the best versions of ourselves and has set me on the path to success. I owe AVID and Ms. Gregory a lot for my successes”
