Humans of CHS: November 2021 Edition

¨Reflecting on my years at Cox, I am so glad I chose to attend this school as opposed to attending Bayside as I was strongly considering their academy. At Cox, I have found people who I believe I will have as lifelong friends and this personal, emotional factor is what I credit to many of my successes at this school. The most influential activity I have been involved in has been being a member of the Cox Marching Falcons. Not only the musical aspect, but the social aspect is constantly improving my persona and evolving lifestyle. Many of my closest friends have been found in marching band and it most evidently changed my life as my attitude towards life changed between freshman and sophomore year from when I did not march versus when I did march. Many healthy habits were created from the positive influences of the staff and other marchers I was around. Furthermore, the leadership opportunity I hold in the band as Drum Major has been unmatched. Being able to work with everyone individually has made my confidence soar; watching their accomplishments along with my own has filled me with an immeasurable amount of joy. Finally, thank you for choosing me to be Senior Homecoming King this year, my heart is forever grateful. Go Falcons!!¨ – senior Nick Johnson
