Falcons show red, white and blue love to community in honor of Memorial Day
Memorial Day looks a little bit different this year, but seniors Caitlin Sullivan, Burkelle Reighard, and Kayleigh Cannaday decided to spread some love over the long weekend.
As we live in what is known as a ‘military town’, tragedy and loss of loved ones, rather, those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, for many of these families is unfortunately not uncommon.
Therefore, Sullivan, Reighard and Cannaday, along with a few other friends, chose to go door to door in their own neighborhoods in effort to brighten someone’s otherwise dreary day by passing out red, white, and blue roses to honor those who have fought and died for our country.
While we can never reach everyone that has been affected, it was imperative to show our appreciation and to thank any and all active duty military, veterans, and families who have lost someone who fought for our freedom and our flag.
And, we say thank you for everything they have done not only to keep us safe, but to keep us secure in this great country, the United States of America.
Happy Memorial Day.
