Falcons’ first Spirit Walk, celebrating fall sports
The ‘Spirit Walk’ is an event that occurs only three times a year and is meant to instill a sense of Falcon pride and “Tradition.”
So, tomorrow morning students will line the hallways to take in all that encompasses the first ‘Spirit Walk’ of the school year; a “walk” that celebrates fall sports and the athletes who give their time for the love of the game.
The Marching Falcons lead the way. And, initially, students will hear the faint sound of drums, cheering from their peers and the pounding of foot steps as the groups of students move swiftly through the halls. Suddenly, the band and fall sports athletes are near as students, faculty and staff take in the brightly adorned uniforms in colors of green and gold, followed by members of the football, field hockey, cross country, boys and girls volleyball and golf teams, along with the cheerleaders and the Coquettes dance squad.
Oh yeah, and the Falcon mascot is sure to show it’s beak as well.
” When all the athletes, the cheer squad, the Coquettes and the Marching Falcons get together it feels that we are all part of the tradition that makes the school so spirited,” junior Coquette Kayleigh Cannaday said.
