Going ‘green’.  While the idea sounds simple enough, many of us don’t truly grasp the importance of a clean environment, the art of recycling, or sustainability for future generations.

This year, the school’s ninth grade English classes are completing research-based assessments about keeping the Earth ‘green’.  Thus, these classes are working in conjunction with the American Library Association and the school’s library to highlight National Library Week, Monday, April 7- Thursday, April 10.

Guest speakers will include Tim Cole from Sustainable Schools, Kathy Russell from TFC Recycling, and Jody Ullman from Lynnhaven River NOW, as well presentations from the Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods, the Cox Catering Club, and Cox theater to name a few.
