FBLA recruits new members, reviving student interest in business
With the new school year quickly progressing into fall, the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) wanted to solidify their business leadership goals by recruiting new members.
President senior Orion Cohen, along with the rest of the officers, encouraged new members to join through a somewhat hilarious promotional video they produced and aired on the announcements last week.
FBLA is a career based student-led organization that encourages competition among various high school groups around the country. Students can prepare for future careers in business through the organization. Their next meeting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 2, in room 109.
“I’m looking forward to starting new traditions that will become a key part of FBLA for years to come,” Cohen said.
FBLA sponsor and Business teacher, Mr. Ruddock, has led the organization in their various entrepreneurial endeavors for the past two years. Ruddock breathed life back into the struggling club.
“The district and regional competitions are always fun, but I’m very excited for the fundraising and community plans we have this year,” Mr. Ruddock said.
