Junior football player turns heads at recent showcase
Junior fullback and defensive end Jackson Morgan caught many people’s attention with his performance at last weekend’s “Clash of the Titans” football camp. Local high school sports recruiting journalists, Recruit 757, spotlighted Morgan in their most recent article, praising his impressive performance.
Morgan pumped out a camp best 22 reps on the 225 bench press competition, landing him in the top 5 among running backs in this years NFL combine. Morgan’s outstanding performance wasn’t limited to the weight room, though. Impressing in almost every on-field drill, Morgan also took home the camp’s Fullback MVP award.
Morgan credited his ability and work ethic to his mentor and father, Dr. T.J. Morgan, who was also a recognized high school and college football player.
“Since I was little, he made me a goal-setter and kept me around successful people and leaders,” Morgan said.
Morgan’s impressive play and outstanding academic performance have garnered him attention from college scouts.
According to Morgan, he plans to finish his senior year strong and continue is athletic career at the next level.
