Major changes ahead for SAT

News about future SAT tests was announced March 5.
Beginning in 2016, the SAT will undergo major changes regarding the material in which students are tested, as well as the scoring rubric. Students will be tested in math, reading, writing, but the essay will become optional.
Also, students will no longer be penalized for incorrect answers and the scoring scale will drop back down from 2400 to 1600, just as before the change that occurred in 2005.
