Falcon Theater presents “first person shooter”
The Falcon Theater Company will participate in the Virginia High School League (VHSL) One Act Play competition against other schools in the district on Friday, Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. at Bayside High School (BHS).
Falcon Theater’s goal is to make it to the top two schools to qualify for the following week’s competition on Friday, Feb. 9, also at BHS.
Theater students will perform a One act play entitled “First Person Shooter”, which tells the story of a school shooting.
Junior Zaza Bonde is the current stage manager and assistant director of the one act play. Bonde has been involved with the production since before winter break.
“We are trying to raise awareness for a serious reoccurring problem in our country. Few people know there has been 11 school shootings since the start of the new year. Our play will hopefully help us tackle this issue instead of putting it behind the backdoor,” Bonde said.
There will also be a in house performance for “First Person Shooter” in the school’s auditorium on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets will be sold at the door and cost $5 for anyone who attends.
