Falcon royalty takes center court
Four of our own Falcons will represent the school in this year’s 44th annual Neptune Festival parade held at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
Seniors Ciara Vakos, Tess Enderson, Jordan McNicholas, and Olivia McNulty were selected, along with seven other girls from area high schools, as members of the Neptune Festival Princess Court. Since selection, the girls have participated in a variety of events to serve the community, as well as promote and celebrate the festival.
The final event of the year is the Neptune Boardwalk Weekend, which begins Friday, Sept. 29, and continues through Sunday, October 1. The weekend’s festivities will include a professional sand sculpting competition, hundreds of tents of handmade art, food, and a parade.
The Neptune Festival parade, highlighting the Neptune Princess Court, as well as various high school marching bands, service clubs, and our own Falcon Coquettes dance team, is Saturday, Sept. 30, at 11:30 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue.
The Neptune weekend will conclude with a fireworks display on Sunday, October 1.
