Noble Teens toy drive
The Noble Teens, a community service club sponsored by Advanced Placement US History teacher Mark Girard, held their annual toy drive to supply gifts to children whose families are in need during the holiday season. The toys will be picked up and distributed on Wednesday, Dec. 14, after school.
According to thenoblemen.org, the service group is a non-profit organization based out of Virginia Beach which includes members located throughout the Hampton Roads and whose mission is to identify and perform ‘Noble Deeds’ for great local kids in need of help. The Nobel Teens branch within the school has been successful in the past with many of their charitable efforts.
“We have won the award every year for the past four years for the most toys, so our goal is to beat last year’s toy count, about 300, and also beat other schools. But, all in the spirit of giving,” Girard said.
