PowderPuff tackles first-semester stress
The annual SCA sponsored Powder Puff tournament will kick off Thursday, Dec. 8, from 3-6 p.m. on the stadium field. Instead of the guys taking each other down, the girls will take over the field as the guys cheer them on.
The teams have been organized into brackets and the winning team will be awarded a bedazzled football decorated by SCA students.
SCA co-sponsor Mrs. Nardelli is in charge of organizing the annual powder puff tournament.
“We have two more teams than we had last year, which is good because that means the event is growing. And also the teacher team is gonna win this year,” Nardelli said.
Out of 13 teams Dub Club and Deep Threat made it to the championship game. In a close heated matchup Dub Club prevailed in a 2-1 victory.
Senior Olivia Merklinger and several other field hockey players made up the Dub Club team. “It was fun playing against our friends and being able to win the championship our senior year.” Merklinger said.
