BLACK FRIDAY TRANSITIONS slowly into Black November as stores extend deals all month long.

The annual Black Friday tradition has turned into Black November where stores are offering sales all month including: Target, Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, JC Penny, Sears, and more.

The change is apparently the result of an effort to reduce the stress of the holiday. With sales all month long, employees can be with their families on Thanksgiving and people can take time to enjoy their dinner.

Black Friday has historically been a way for stores to generate more sales. Thus, stores hope with the transition to Black November will reduce customer lines, as well as violent pursuits of certain products.

“Black Friday… is a time when a selfish side of people comes out, when it should be a time of family and goodness and love of mankind,” said English teacher Shaula McGovern.
