Prince Charming makes appearance
This year’s “Prom Ask” contest, sponsored by the the school’s own Falcon Press journalists, held some tough competition. Falcon Press staffers fielded entries from students from billboards to egg costumes, which piled up to make the staff’s decision tough. The staff awarded the winner a $50 gift card as a prize.
However, senior David Broome stole the show when he rode up 31st Street at the Oceanfront on a horse and dressed in a Prince Charming costume to ask girlfriend Haley Baldwin to prom.
“Haley is a Neptune Princess, so that’s why I wanted it to be princess themed,” Broome said . “It’s really exciting to win because it took a lot of effort to put it all together!”
An honorable mention goes out to seniors Stephen Tobin and Angela Soloman for their second place “Prom Ask.”
For future contenders, keep in mind that renting a horse seems to be the way to go.
