Photography by Myia Campbell
My name is Myia Campbell and I am an aspiring photographer. When I was younger, I hated cameras. I was shy and very stubborn when it came to taking photos of myself. It was until I reached my early teen years when I started to love photos. I loved watching YouTube videos and watching how they used different angles and I eventually stumbled upon a new YouTuber by the name Jessica Kobeissi. I loved watching her take photos of different models at different locations. So I asked my mom to buy me a camera so I could start doing some of her tutorials. When I was about fourteen, my mom gave me my first camera. It was an old point and shoot camera, a Nikon, and I loved it. I practiced the tutorials and made some cool images, but I wanted a better camera to take more of the more detailed pictures. I was 16 when I got another camera, a Sony alpha 3000 and I still use that one today. I knew I wanted to continue with photography as a profession when I got into college, and I am lucky I received my work study job as a photographer. Without further ado, I hope you enjoy my online portfolio.
