Students show school spirit
SCA hosted a Spring Pep Rally to celebrate spring sports, the students themselves and the upcoming Spring Break.
This year, the pep rally was preceded by Spirit Week which included themes such as, “Missed My Alarm Day,” “Tacky Tourist Tuesday,” “Workout Wednesday,” and “College Day.”
An adjusted schedule allowed all of the school’s students to participate in the outdoor events.
Along with the introduction of spring sports teams, activities included a performance from the Step team, a lyric competition between the classes, a Jimmy John’s sub eating contest, a dance off, and a teacher versus student trivia session.
P.E. teacher and football coach Jimmy DiNardo also gave a motivating speech entitled “I Am Worth It”, that had students and staff alike on their feet screaming the phrase.
The pep rally culminated with SCA President Brad Creamer presenting the Spirit Stick to Senior Class Vice President Marisa Brown for winning the first annual Battle of the Classes.
