Varsity girls soccer “kicks off”

March 24, 2016

As the weather becomes warmer and days become longer, the varsity girls soccer team spends their afternoons on the practice fields preparing for the long season ahead of them.

Although last season’s tragic loss in the state final to Westfield High School in the last three seconds of the State Final game, the girls are once again focused on what’s ahead of them.

With a young, but hardworking lineup, the team looks toward a successful season. With two scrimmage victories over Great Bridge and First Colonial already under their belts, the team is confident and ready for further competition.

Four year varsity player and senior co-captain Teagan Kim is optimistic about the season and her team’s capabilities.

“Our goal this season is to play together as a team, complete passes, and play to the whistle,” Kim said.
