Mr. Cox: broadway bound boys

February 29, 2016

The “Broadway Bound Boys” prepare to take the stage and compete for the annual title of Mr. Cox on Friday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.

This year’s Mr. Cox senior contestants include:

Axel Rasmussen

Axel Rasmussen is 5’11” on a good day. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, rock climbing, and camping and his favorite snacks are kiwis and Swedish fish.  His role models are the Kool-Aid man and Steve Irwin. He didn’t like the puppy monkey baby commercial shown at the 2016 super bowl.

Cole Johnson

Cole is a proud owner of 13 cats and their names all start with an ‘M’. Currently, he is an active member of farmersonly.com. He is passionate about collecting swords and has a black belt in jiu-jitsu.

Greg Hahn

Greg is THE face of Mr. Cox this year. He enjoys long walks on the beach and reading books by the fire.

David Broome

David loves music and spends his time outside of school involved with Cox swimming as well as his club team, Tide. As for his future plans, David plans on either attending the University of Virginia or William and Mary next fall. He is very excited to compete in Mr. Cox and is looking forward to wowing the crowd.

Peter Sterling

Peter is a senior at Cox as well as a chef at Sal’s New York Style Pizzeria. His greatest achievement was being named 2006 Time Magazine’s person of the year. Peter hopes to take his talents to the big stage and win Mr. Cox 2016.

Dominic Spagnolo

Dominic is THE reason why you want to come to Mr. Cox this year. His dance moves and charisma are not to be missed. He is poised to win the title of Mr. Cox and dethrone his dad as the coolest “Spag” at Cox High School.

Jacob Dobrow

Jacob’s full name is Jacob Thomas Dobrow. He loves going to the beach in the summer and going to the movies. He currently works at Hollister Co.

Nic Zarate

Nic is spelled specifically without the ‘k’. He likes Dunkin Donuts and jumping on the trampoline. He wants to give a special shout out to Cam Bailey and his dog Brownie for being his best friends. He also wants to thank Mrs. Nardelli for inspiring him to be a part of Mr. Cox this year. She’s cool, but he’s cooler.

Riley Baker

Riley is what some may call, “above average,” and when asked about him, people often reply with, “overwhelmingly awesome.” Nic is cooler than Nardelli, but Riley is cooler than Nic. When running cross country, Riley doesn’t finish last, so who’s the real winner? Riley Baker, a winner at heart.

Adam T. Hibben

Adam was on the cover of Maxim Magazine, May 2013, fall edition. He has a new show premiering on Nickelodeon, but unfortunately has no chance of winning Mr. Cox.
