JUNIOR LOGAN WATTS pins his opponent in the 138 lb. weight class.

Falcon wrestlers, along with wrestlers from First Colonial, Landstown, Bayside, Ocean Lakes, Kellam, and Tallwood High Schools, competed in the 6A South Conference tournament held at Kellam last weekend.

Wrestlers that placed among the top four in their [respective] weight classes within the conference then continue on to the Regional tournament this weekend, Friday, Feb. 12 & Saturday, Feb. 13, at Ocean Lakes High School.

Seven Falcon wrestlers advanced to the Regional tournament including junior Logan Watts who placed 2nd in the Conference at 138 lbs.

“We would have liked to advance more people,” Watts explained. “But, with the young team we have this year, I’m very happy with the outcome.”

Wrestlers look to once again place in the top four this weekend in order to advance to the State tournament next weekend at Oscar Smith High School.

“We’ve all worked hard and we deserve this,” Watts said.
