THIS YEAR’S NEPTUNE Festival may be a wash due to the weather.

Approaching inclement weather has interrupted the 42nd Annual Neptune Festival scheduled to be held at the Oceanfront on Friday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 27.

According to wtkr.com, all events including; the Grand Parade, music performances, Saturday’s Sailing Regatta, firework displays, all food and exhibitors along the boardwalk, the Youth Art show, as well as the volleyball tournaments have all been canceled.

The Sand Sculpting Championship, held in an enclosed space, is still a go at the original scheduled time. And, the Arts and Crafts show has been moved to the Virginia Beach Convention Center for the duration of the weekend.

There has not yet been a decision about whether the Neptune Festival 8K will take place.
