Scholastic Chess tournament play

On January 17, Kemps Landing Old Donation School will be hosting the Scholastic & Open Quads Chess Tournaments.
Please register online by 7 AM on January 15 at www.vschess.org for $7 a player in the scholastic tournament and $20 a player in the open quads tournament. Registration is also on-site January 17, from 8-9 AM for $14 a player and $20 a player for the scholastic and open quads tournaments, respectively. The first rounds starts around 9:30 AM.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three players in each category. Categories are K-3, 4-5, K-8, 9-12 (rated and non-rated). The top three teams will also be awarded trophies in the K-5 and K-12 categories (rated and non-rated).
The tournament is co-hosted by Virginia Scholastic Chess Association and ODC PTA. On-site concesssions will be provided by ODC chess club and will include pizza. For more information and to register online, go to vschess.org.
