FORMER EDITIONS OF Wingspan, the school’s literary magazine.

For any students interested in submitting to the school’s literary magazine Wingspan, please read the following information carefully:

  • All work must be submitted digitally. Don’t forget to include a subject in the e-mail and your name (unless you would prefer to be anonymous). Please e-mail your submission to [email protected]
  • Understand that submissions undergo an editing process. If your work is chosen to appear in Wingspan, a staff member will contact you via e-mail so that you may be involved with the editing process.
  • You may submit artwork to accompany each month’s theme/genre as well. Please make sure to take a high quality picture and upload it into an e-mail.
  • Wingspan accepts creative writing throughout the year – you do not have to submit a work that correlates with the current theme/genre. The theme/genre is intended to guide students who may be interested in fulfilling that particular niche!  Only students interested in submitting a piece for a particular theme/genre must adhere to the appropriate deadline (see below). The theme/genre will be updated once a month.

This month’s theme is inspired by Robert Frost’s poem “Fire and Ice.” We ask that interested students write a piece dealing with extremes/dynamic opposites (fire and ice, black and white, war and peace, etc.). You can interpret this freely.

Theme pieces will be accepted: December 1-December 31

Please contact the Wingspan staff by e-mailing our Gmail account.

Best,

The Wingspan Staff & Adviser Ashley Meyer
