Humans of CHS: February 2022 Edition

Hello, My name is Colin Bridges. I am currently a senior at Cox High School. When I’m not drawing or doing something stupid, I can be found on the wrestling mat. I have been wrestling for about seven years and put my blood, tears, and a ridiculous amount of sweat into the sport. I have to go to practice, run, and lift weights daily, and there is no off season. Wrestling is an indoor sport, meaning it can be played year-round, and to succeed, a year round effort is required. Being on the wrestling team has taught me important life lessons such as how to fight through pain, how to work hard when all of my energy is gone, and how to handle both wins and losses with poise. When I was younger, I never would have thought that I would be a wrestler, but today I am a three time regional champion and one time (hopefully soon  a two time) state champion. I owe so much to my wrestling coaches, my teammates, and my family who have helped me get this far. -senior Colin Bridges
