Humans of CHS: February 2020 Edition

“Last year, I tore my ACL during a soccer showcase in Florida. A girl fouled me on a dirty play only two minutes into the game. I had to deal with swelling and pain on my two flights back to Virginia Beach. It proved to be one of the most challenging times of my life but allowed me to come out as a stronger person. I spent countless hours in physical therapy and had to endure the biting chill of Cryotherapy tanks. This injury tested my perseverance and made me question myself multiple times whether I had the mental ability to come back as the same player. After 5 months of hard work, I was able to take my first steps back onto the field. I was unable to play for Cox soccer my junior year, but I will be able to finish off my senior season this year due to my hard work off the field!”
