Humans of CHS: September edition

"As a tribute to the social media blog "Humans of NY", the Falcon Press staff decided to create a spin-off entitled, "Humans of CHS". Staff members will roam the hall each month until they find a "human" with an inspirational bit of advice, unusual story to tell, or who simply wants to chat about life."

“I was on my hammock in 5th grade; I was swinging in a dangerous position and I ended up falling off. As soon as I fell, my face hit the ground, pushing my teeth through my chin. My friends began to laugh because they thought I was okay, but as soon as I turned around, they saw a huge amount of blood all over my face. My dad began to panic and decided to rush my to the hospital. I was so terrified because I knew that the hospital meant stitches. Sure enough I walked out of the hospital with 36 stitches in my chin. I have been self conscious about my scar ever since this incident happened, however I just recently learned to appreciate it because it makes me unique and it is a part of who I am,” junior Hayden Miller said.
