Humans of CHS: Alexis Davies-Hackenberg
“I started my senior year season and my main goal was to be a good captain and go to states which has not been done since 2006. I knew we could really go to states when we made it out of the conference which we have not been able to do since my freshman year. We had to beat Kellam High School to get to states and when we beat Kellam it honestly felt like we won states. I think our whole team can say we felt confident when we were up 2-0 in the state finals against Langley. We lost in 5 and although we lost and were obviously heartbroken, we did accomplish so much. When I found out I made first team all Tidewater, Region, and All State, I was really happy. All the hard work I put into the team and my skills finally paid off. I felt honored to be one of the ones selected out of our state. Overall, I have loved playing for CHS and hope that my girls kill it next year. I am so happy we got CHS volleyball back on the map.”
