He said… she said Valentine edition
February 15, 2014
HE SAID…
A man sighs as he sees a florist placing red roses in the shop window.
‘Is it February already?’ he thinks to himself. Red roses in February can only mean one thing: Valentine’s Day is fast approaching.
For guys this means money. The stereotypical girl has many expectations, including to be showered in gifts. A lot of these expectations are put on the man, who wonders why Valentine’s Day is such a big deal.
The lady wants to get dressed up, go to a fancy dinner, and maybe get a piece of jewelry at the end. The guy just wants to order pizza and watch Netflix.
And finally, the female will want to talk. She’ll expect compliments and meaningful conversation. The male would rather not.
This being said and despite what the man might want to do, this holiday is about the woman. A word of advice for the boys though; it’s best to comply with your girl’s wishes.
SHE SAID…
As she walks by the store window, the red roses and chocolate kisses stare back at her. A reminder to her and to all women that Valentine’s Day is approaching.
Getting all ‘dolled up’ is part of the womanly tradition. In addition, it is important to make sure that everything is perfect between her and her ‘fella.’
A woman on Valentine’s Day, expects a wonderful day and premeditated plans. The man should have already made reservations for dinner and set a movie date, for that is his role on such a special day.
Furthermore, the Valentine lady will expect her ‘beau’ to send cute little love texts to make her day.
The dress she chooses is important. Does she go stylishly, formal, or short? This depends on her date and what he has arranged. But remember, don’t go all out or super glam unless he plans to fly you to Las Vegas or Paris for dinner.
After their date, a woman wants to end the night with love and cuddles.
Ultimately, these hours of planning the perfect Valentine’s Day payoff when her and her ‘fella’ realize their true feelings of love.
Now boys, there’s only 364 days until next year. Get planning.
