Humans of CHS: Leah Crouse
Q: If you could choose any decade to live in, which would you choose and why?
“If I could choose a decade to live in, I would live in the 1960’s because I think it was a thriving time for the youth culture because of the Civil Rights movement, Vietnam, and all the other stuff. It would have been cool to be a part of it because the ’60s seemed like it was big in the hippie movement.”
Q: So in regards to current events, what are your thoughts on DACA and President Trump building a wall?
“Well there are way bigger things to worry about, but we shouldn’t be kicking out these people who have no idea where their home is. I am not in favor of terminating DACA because I don’t think it’s right that people can be removed from a place they have lived their whole life and taken somewhere they were just born in and not raised. They don’t even know the language of their home country. America is the land of the free. I also don’t like ‘the wall’ because immigrants can come from other places besides land. Building a wall will not help anything.”
