DR. ANDREW JOHNSON speaking to students from all grade levels during falcon forum

Rippling effect

Dr. Andrew Johnson was the first on the list Wednesday morning, to kick off the round of presentations at the first ever Falcon Forum.

Johnson has many accomplishments under his belt. In high school, he was an All-State swimmer and a football player.  And, he was offered a scholarship to the University of Texas to play football.

Johnson describes himself during this period as self-indulgent. After a talk with his father he decided instead to go into the United States Naval Academy.

“It [the Navel Academy] made me realize how foolish I was when just thinking of myself,” Johnson said.

Johnson went on to Navy Medical school to become a doctor.

According to Johnson, he has been fortunate to help people during their worst times, putting his skills to use when traveling to disaster zones like Haiti and New Orleans when unfortunate natural disasters affect daily life.

Johnson summarized his forum session by listing the three most important things to remember: life is not a competition, build a family, and choose a passion, not a paycheck.
