Red Cross club makes difference
June 14, 2016
Newly developed this year, the Red Cross club is already making a difference within the school and community recently earning the VBCPS Superintendent Award for their significant impact on the community.
Founded by junior brothers Brendan and Michael Lawlor, with the help of junior Kaylee Brunson and sophomores Dominick Lacaze and Madeline Chafage, the club’s purpose has primarily been to provide for the homeless veterans of Virginia Beach.
The group efforts include finding homes for the city’s veterans as well as providing them with food, water and other basic necessities.
