Student newspaper broadcast, Access VB

Access Virginia Beach producer Bill Casey recently interviewed the Falcon Press newspaper Journalism II and III students in regard to their fourth 1st place distinction in the Virginia High School League newspaper competition.

In the video, Casey highlights the growth of the student run newspaper as it is now fully digital. He also focused on the paper’s outreach to the community and its social media platforms.

“I’m so proud of how far this program/publication has come and the incredible students in both my Journalism I and Journalism II/III classes,” Falcon Press Adviser Erin Tonelson said. “Everyone in the program contributes new ideas and works to make the ideas become reality; it’s cool to watch.”

The video will broadcast on Friday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. on ACCESS Virginia Beach, Channels: Cox are 46, 47 & 48 while Verizon is 45 & 47.
