Heart of Christmas holiday community service project

The Heart of Christmas Community Service Project seeks to provide homeless VB and Tidewater teens with much needed supplies/gifts over the holidays. In fact, the Virginia Beach City Public school system has over 200+ kids that are homeless, just in middle school and high school.

While The Angel Tree and Toys for Tots service projects are fantastic, they only deliver toys to children up to the age of 12. Then, that leaves the students who are 13-years and over with almost nothing, and no gifts for their holiday.

As a community, we can help those in need during this already difficult time, to make someone’s Christmas/holiday morning special. See below for more info/items needed and contact information.

Librarian Jen Ludford created a Sign Up Genius for all clubs/sports to use (this may be updated if we know of more special requests):

Donations due: Wednesday, December 15
