Junior Bailey Deaver and senior Taylor Everett recently reviewed the latest DC Comics creation, “Aquaman”. The film follows Aquaman, the main character’s journey to retrieve the legendary trident of ‘Atlan’ , as well as dethrone his half-brother King Orm. The movie stars actor Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna.

Deaver rated the movie a 4/10, finding the plot to be too similar to other well-known comic-based movies, and felt that overall, lacked the creativity a superhero movie should include.

Everett, however, found the movie to be a great addition to the DC Comics fan based genre, complete with stunning action shots and extraordinary special effects, rating the movie a stellar 9/10.

Overall, both Deaver and Everett found the movie to be a must-see for anyone who is a fan of the superhero universe.
