Class of 2018: graduation is near

Dear Class of 2018,

Congratulations Falcons.

As senior year’s end slowly approaches, it means that we have successfully made it through 12 years of school, four of them here at the school.  From the streaker at the first fall pep rally of our freshman year, to our last days together, we have certainly come a long way.

Looking back at all the float building, school dances, sporting events, pep rallies, fundraisers, plays, fashion shows, late nights spent finishing projects due the next day, behind the wheel classes, AP exams, and so much more, we have grown so much since Falcon Fest. It’s hard to believe that the once shy and unsure 14 and 15-year-old kids we once were have become the confident leaders that have contributed to and changed Cox High School in an unforgettable way.

The Class of 2018 has not just grown as people, but we have outgrown high school and it is time for all of us to move on to the next chapter of our lives. Whatever your path may be, we, the Editors-in-Chief of Falcon Press, hope that you remember all of the good times we’ve had together.

An exciting future awaits, but it won’t always be easy. We hope you remember how capable every student in the class of 2018 is at achieving whatever goals you have for yourself.  As opportunities present themselves, don’t be afraid to say YES.

We have come so far, yet our lives are still beginning and the most incredible future awaits.

We are proud to be a part of the Class of 2018.

Good luck fellow Falcons, it’s time to take flight.

Your Editors-in-Chief,
Ian, Anna, Ben, and Audrey
