SENIOR KESHAWN LEWIS and junior Tayvion Robinson play excellent defense in home playoff game.

History was made for the boys’ varsity basketball team. After losing to Tallwood  High School in the regular season finale, the team regrouped and brought home a 61-42 win on Wednesday, Feb.21, for the first regional playoff game in 20 years.

The boys advance to the regional semifinal this Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Scope Arena in Norfolk where they will face Oscar Smith High School.

Junior guard Kevon James attributed the teams win to their chemistry on the court.

“When we play together everything seems easy,” James said.
