With the holidays in full swing, people are scouring Netflix and Pinterest for cute movies and snacks.

To aid in the never-ending search for the perfect holiday comedy and the best snacks for munching, here is a list of some classic favorites.

 

Netflix:

Love Actually

  • A movie about multiple love stories intertwining during the best time of the year.

The Santa Clause

  • This Disney classic encompasses all the fun with a unique spin on Christmas during the holiday season.

Movies to rent or buy:

Home Alone

  • This Christmas tale is an all-time classic that was created in 1990 but, still is a home staple for most families during the holiday season. The movie is action packed with emotion, adventure, tradition, and suspense.

Home Alone 2

  • Arguably the best sequel to a movie ever created. Home Alone 2 is a remake of Home Alone but, takes place in the concrete jungle, New York City.

Four Christmases

  • Four Christmases is a modern Christmas comedy created to relate to people during the holiday time while entertaining. Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are the main characters in the movie. They are forced to visit each parent on Christmas day making for a hectic holiday.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas

  • A Christmas classic that was produced in 2000. Jim Carrey plays the villain, the Green Grinch, and tries to ruin Christmas for the people of Hooville. Characters interact with him along the way especially Cindy Lou Who. Cindy changed the Grinch forever and made his heart grow fonder of Christmas.

The Holiday

  • This romantic and comedic spin on the holiday season is the perfect flick to watch with family, friends or a significant other. It was the perfect seasonal and sweet movie to watch.

A Christmas Story

  • A traditional but funny tale made in 1983. All the son wants, Ralphie, is to enjoy the Christmas spirit. He frequently has to encounter a bully that takes away from his joyfulness during the holiday season.

Perfect snacks: for a night in

A twist on movie popcorn:

  1. Purchase pop-able kernels or store-bought kettle corn.
  2. Get out the best chocolate candies ( M&Ms are always a favorite).
  3. Find some mini pretzel sticks.
  4. Mix all three ingredients together in a bowl.
  5. All Done. The best spin on the traditional movie snack is complete.
